We are a non-profit childcare center located in the Alden United Community Methodist Church. Sprigs and Sprouts opened our doors in March 1999.
We are open Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm.
School year session begins after Labor Day and ends the second week of June.
Summer session begins the third week in June and ends the last Friday of August.

PROGRAM GOALS

We are a curriculum based learning center. Our teachers use positive guidance and role modeling to enable the children to learn through a balanced schedule of self directed activities. Children are taught to make their own choices, be self disciplined and have socially accepted behavior. in a self and nurturing. In a safe and nurturing environment, teachers encourage children’s development of social, emotional and cognitive skills through the use of weekly themes, creative art and literacy.

LICENSING

We are licensed through the State of Michigan Department of Human Services and the Children and Adult Food Program. We offer breakfast (8am), snack (10am), homemade lunch (12pm) and afternoon snack (3pm) every day.
We are licensed to serve 30 children ages 6 weeks through 12 years old.

STAFFING

All staff are C.P.R. and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross. Teachers have training and experience in early childhood development and take continuing education classes required by the State of Michigan Department of Human Services.

RATES

• 10% off if you have two children full time
• Two day minimum attendance
• Payments are due every Monday by 6pm
• A $30 registration fee is due with the first payment
• We do not accept debit or credit cards
